Ellie's Birthday Party

I know it is the end of June and Ellie's birthday party was at the end of May, but we have been so busy....at work and at home! I am finally finding some time to upload the pics.

My beautiful birthday girl!!

While daddy was making the food for everybody, we all swam a little bit.

Uncle Grant throwing Ellie in the air

Then we ate some yummy hamburgers and hot dogs.

Then we ate some birthday cake!

Then Ellie was able to open all of her great birthday presents!!

Braxton

Abigail

Haedyn

Shauna
Then a little bit more swimming!

I went to put more sunscreen on Ellie and she started crying saying that it was burning her. So, we improvised. We used Papa's shirt to make sure she didn't get burned. She looked like a football player with her swimmies on underneath!

When we left, Ellie was chowing down on a bag of potato chips. We were not gone five minutes and she was out! All of the kids did great! The party started at 11:30 am and we left about 4:30 pm. There was not in fussing until we pulled them out to leave! They are all a great bunch of kids. Thank you to all who made Ellie's birthday so great!
PS: We missed you Papa J and Meme Mary! We cant wait to see you! Papa J we hope you start feeling better soon! We love you!!

Last Vacation Post

On Monday, the sun wasn't out at all, so we went to Gulf World. I thought it would be a perfect day since the weather wasn't the best. What I didn't realize was that Gulf World is basically all outside! Before we left for Florida, mom had asked if she should bring jeans. I said no. Well, I guess we should have brought them. It was so cold outside. We were all in shorts. Luckily, we did have a blanket in the car from the ride down.

Sea Lions

We got to see a bird show. They had lots of birds that would do different things like count and sing.

The best was the dolphin show.

Those who know Ellie, know she is not scared of ANYTHING!!

She loves to be thrown in the air.
I have not been to PCB since 2003. I went with 3 of my best girlfriends for my bachelorette weekend. So much has changed since then. They have torn down close to all of the old, nasty hotels and built new high rise hotels. It was so nice to see how things have changed. One thing they have added is Pier Park. It is a huge outdoor shopping mall. It has a couple of restaurants and tons of stores and boutiques. They have a carousel, train ride and bouncing thing for the kids. Ellie loved the carousel and the train ride. I think we went everyday, so she could ride both.

Vacation Post 3

My two favorite people

We have a model on our hands. The two where her arms are up by her head....she did those poses on her own. Too funny! I tried to get some pics on the beach but the wind was too bad.

I was trying to teach Ellie to hold her nose when she jumps in the water. She would hold her nose, count to three, let go of her nose and then jump into the water. Too cute!!

Vacation Post 2

Everyday we saw a ton of stingrays from our balcony. A friend that I work with goes to PCB regularly. She said she has never seen a stingray! Yikes! There were a few times where they would swim by people in the ocean. The people scattered quite quickly.

While we were in FL, we put swimmies on Ellie. I had told Christian that he was probably going to have to just let go of Ellie, so she would see that she would float on her own. I hadn't gotten the words out of my mouth and he had let her go. The rest of the time she was swimming by herself. It was such a relief for us as well. We obviously still watched her, but I didn't feel as nervous with the swimmies on her.

Meme and Ellie

Since the weather was some what bad, we would spend the mornings in the hot tub. One morning we came out to lots of bubbles in the hot tub. Ellie loved it. It was like a gigantic bubble bath.
