Going to Bed at 10 o'clock

I am not sure where Ellie got it from, but the other night she started saying that she was going to bed at 10 o'clock! It was so funny!

The other night I put Ellie to bed. We have to leave her bedroom door open or she gets really upset. I got to the end of the hall, and Ellie called out, "mommy." I went back into her room and said yes, sweetie?" Ellie's response, "I love you!" How sweet was that! It completely melted my heart!!!

I think I can actually say that Ellie is officially potty trained! I am so excited. Christian said last Friday was the first time our trashcan was not overflowing when we took it to the street for trash day. I told him it was probably because we didn't have all of the diapers/pull-ups!

This morning Ellie called out for me to come get her. I walked in her room and she was standing up in her bed rubbing her eyes. She said, mommy I have to go poopy and potty! Yeah!!!! I am so excited! The next milestone is getting her to a big girl bed. I think we will do this transition in the next couple of months! I am in no rush!!

A Nice Relaxing Weekend

"See my belly?"

Daddy getting in touch with his feminine side!

Ellie got a kite for her birthday. Several weeks ago, Christian was playing with the kite. The tail of the kite got stuck in the trees. On Sunday, Christian was able to pull the rest of it from the tree. He and Ellie started twirling the ribbon around. It was quite funny watching Christian swing the ribbon around. I am sure it was more entertainment for our neighbors!

Already on the phone!!

Ellie's New Bed

I had seen this bed for Ellie in the ABC Distributing catalog right before my family came in July. Turns out Penny had bought it for McKenna. It was perfect for their stay here. I had wanted to get it for Ellie for staying at mom's house. I ran to Toys-R-Us last week, and they had one left and it was on sale. I was excited. Ellie loves her bed. I thought we could also start letting her take naps on this bed to see how she does with a "big girl bed." If she does good with this, then I don't mind moving her to the toddler bed. We will see!
Cute stories of Ellie:
Ellie loves to run. She HATES her stroller, so when I go out I typically leave her at home. Last week she wanted to go "bye, bye," so I decided to take her. We are getting ready to leave, and she starts giving Christian hugs and saying bye. All of a sudden she screams out, "I hold mommy's hand!" Christian and I lost it! We hadn't even said anything to her about it.

We are in the middle of potty training. Note: we are poopy potty trained...I think. YEAH!!! Pray for no set backs!!! I think by next week, we might be completely! Anyway, so last week when I took her shopping with me, she walked and didn't use the stroller! She did great! As soon as we walked into the first store though, Ellie said, "mommy I have to go to potty!" I am thinking are you kidding me? You never tell me at home, but we walk into a public place where the potty's are nasty, and you want to go! She told me 3 or 4 times that night when we were out shopping! I was so proud!!

Sunday with Braxton

I love the determination on Braxton's face!

Ellie and I went and spent a Sunday afternoon with Denise and Braxton while Christian went and played golf with the guys. I think once they got on the jeep the never got off. Braxton can drive the jeep so well!! He is definitely all boy!! Ellie would try and drive it, but she doesn't keep her foot on the gas pedal. Should would drive a few feet and then stop...drive a few feet and then stop. She also doesn't turn the steering wheel. She will hold onto it, but that's it.
There were times when Braxton would give a look like, "does she have to be in the car with me?" I told Richard that it reminded me of when we were in high school, and I couldnt drive yet and he had to take me to school!!! HE HATED IT!! I can remember many fights about this subject!

Ellie's 2 Year Pictures

These are Ellie's 2 year pictures. Target went digital we had these done. It was a trial session, and we were able to get 50% off of any package. I was worried when they were done with the pictures because it didn't seem like they got any good shots of her. I was pleasantly surprised! I spent about 50 bucks more than I had planned, but I love the pics!! Grandparents, aunts, uncles and anybody else who may want any, please send me your order!
