Snow in Atlanta

Two Friday nights ago Atlanta was hit pretty hard with a snow storm. Well, it was hard to me!! I work about 30 minutes from our new house. It took me 2.5 hours to get home!! Ugh!! It was awful!! I also had Shauna, Ellie's friend from school, in the car with me as well. She was an angel! She literally only asked me to change the movie and that was it! Once I got home, with cold pizza, I was able to enjoy the snow a little bit more....after an adult beverage as well!!

Here are pics from Saturday morning after the snow had fallen.....

Ellie and Shauna ready to play in the snow!!
Ready to go on a golf cart ride!

The munchkin!!

These are the pics Christian took Friday night. When I did finally make it home, he said I took pictures for you. I figured you would want them. Great is what I was thinking. I brought the camera to work to look at the pictures. He did get several of our house, several of the neighbors kids. Do you know how many of our child? Zero, Zip, None!! I just had to laugh!! Thanks honey!!

This is the view from our balcony off of the guest bedroom, looking towards the right.

Same spot but to the left.

Backyard

Front of the house....

Poor Kaos! He is a mess! He wouldn't go out in the snow!! I really don't know how he is a Husky.

I think we ended up with about 4 to 4.5 inches of snow in Hoschton!!
Ellie had her first spend the night out party a few weeks ago with Shauna. She did great except for Patti, Shauna's mom, said she gets up too early. Shauna and Ellie have basically grown up together at Legacy. Patti and I say that they act more like sisters than friends.
Shauna spent the night with us the night it snowed. The girls did great! They played upstairs Friday night. They actually took just about all of the toys out of the playroom and put them in Ellie's room. They watched Mickey Mouse before bed and fell asleep in their sleeping bags in our room.

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a pretty quiet Valentine's Day. Christian took Ellie on a golf cart ride while I went to the store. She ended up falling asleep on it. Christian said he took her home once he saw that she had fallen asleep! When she realized they were home, she was not a happy camper. Luckily, she fell back asleep once they were inside.
We went on another golf cart ride went I got back. Ellie loves the golf cart. She doesn't care what temp it is, she wants to go!! Christian and I can't wait till it gets warmer. I am sure we will either be on the golf cart or at the pool!
I was out Saturday shopping, so I picked Ellie up this Dora Book. It comes with a little record player. I thought it would read her the stories. Well, it plays music while you read the book. Its actually kind of annoying. The music is loud and then you are trying to read over the music. Oh well, she loves it! That's all that matters!

Here she is trying to read us the book like her teachers do at school! Too cute!!

This is what Ellie and mommy got daddy for V-Day. Christian was being a smart butt, and wouldn't let me take a picture of him. It is a GA shirt with GA pj bottoms. He said that I would probably wear it more than he will. He is probably right, for once!

Christian surprised Ellie with a teddy bear and roses for me. The door bell rang about 11:30 am yesterday. I was thinking who in the world is that! I saw the FedEx truck drive away and then I knew! Ellie loves the bear and I of course love the roses. I did feel bad because he said there was supposed to be a spa gift card in the box. There wasn't, so we will have to get that straightened out!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
