Ellie and Biting

Okay, so I know we shouldnt be laughing about Ellie biting, but she was cracking Christian and I up. She thought it was the funniest thing. I am not sure if it was his reaction to her biting or what. I LOVE that laugh!!

Ellie and the Dogs

Ellie loves the dogs. She calls Skyler "sy, sy" and Kaos is "k,k." She loves to play in their water and their food. Its funny because when we open our back door we have to tell the dogs to get back. Well, Ellie has learned to say get back to them or she tells them to "movesh." Thats right "movesh." Many words that Ellie says has a "sh" on them. Ellie says "i wuvsh" for I love you. I cant think of the others right now.

Ellie's outfit

This is an outfit that I made for Ellie...my third outfit actually. She was less than thrilled to have it on. I have tried the shirt on her before. I just recently finished the shorts. Each time I put it on her she immediately asks to take it off. I wonder if this is a sign of my handy work?!?
I enjoy sewing. It is a little bit of a stress reliever for me. Christian plays his X Box 360 after Ellie goes to bed; I sew. However, I don't sit properly while I am doing it, so my back typically hurts afterwards.
I have a few more things I want to make her. I think my next project will be pajamas. I do have to say it is getting easier the more outfits I make her...thanks to my mom's help! They do not make patterns for beginners. Some of the "stitches" they say to use are over my head!

Chicken Pox or HFMD??

Thursday morning I noticed this sore on Ellie's hand. It looked like an infected cut. About 10:30 am, daycare called and said she was broken out all over in a rash. She said that another child in the class had Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. She wasn't sure if this was what Ellie had, but we had to come get her.

Christian took Ellie to the doctor. The doctor said she was 90% sure it was the chicken pox. She said that with HFMD that you typically break out with sores in the mouth first. Since Ellie, didn't have any she thought it was chicken pox. She only has them on her legs and feet and the one on her hand...which I don't think is related because it looks completely different from the others. Friday I stayed home with her. When we got her up, they were almost gone. It seems that cotton doesn't irritate it like other materials. I put her clothes on for the day, and they start to look irritated and more red. This morning we noticed a few bumps on her tongue, so I am assuming that she has HFMD. She has been in a great mood...besides the fact that she has been locked inside since Thursday. I am ready for the warm weather to be here tomorrow, so we can take her outside to play. I know we need the rain, but I am sick of it!
