Easter Weekend

We have had a busy few days this past week. I had lasik surgery on Friday. Christian's parents met us at the eye doctor and picked Ellie up for "Camp Grandma." After the surgery, I came home and took my sleeping pill (doctors orders) at 4 pm. I woke up at 7 am on Saturday morning.

We had awful storms come through Atlanta Friday night. I didn't hear a peep! Christian said he came in several times to check on me, but I hadn't moved. That's what a sleeping pill and a Valium will do for you!

Saturday morning we had a post-op appointment at the doctor. We left there and helped a friend move. Saturday night we went to Christian's sisters for Easter. We had a fabulous dinner. The girls had an Easter egg hunt.

Sunday morning we went to my parents for brunch. Ellie and Braxton played in the boat while we waited on meme and papa to get there. The Easter Bunny brought the kids rain boots, so they can play in the water. They also had an egg hunt.

Then Sunday afternoon we had a Masters Party at our house. Along with the busy weekend, Christian and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Cute stories of Ellie:

Tuesday I recorded Oprah. There were several country stars on her show that day. Tuesday night around 8 pm I turned Oprah on. I had Ellie in our bed trying to get her to calm down to go to sleep. Kenny Chesney was performing. Ellie started clapping along with the audience. Then she blew Kenny Chesney a kiss. I lost it. We are going to have our hands full when she is about 15...maybe sooner! Yikes!
When Ellie is trying to tell us a story, her little brain just moves so much faster than her mouth can get the words out. She is so stinkin' cute when she does this. She was trying to tell us something the other night and she just couldn't get it out. Christian looked at her and said, "spit it out, Ellie." She looked and him and said, "I don't have anything in my mouth, daddy." She proceeded to open her mouth and stick out her tongue to show us that there was not anything in her mouth.
