Update on Ellie: I took her back to the doctor on Friday. She still has an ear infection! Poor child! She received her last shot. We had to start her back on an antibiotic on Saturday.

She still isn't her old self. She really isn't eating much either...kind of scares me. I noticed how tiny her belly was this morning. I hope this antibiotic starts working quickly.

We have an appointment scheduled for April 16 with an ENT. I hate that we have to wait that long before we see another doctor. I guess it better though because she will be off her current antibiotic. Hopefully, at that point the infection will be gone. Right now, I want her to have the tubes, so she wont have to go through this misery anymore.

Update on Ellie

We got a call from daycare on Monday. Ellie was running 103.2 temperature! Christian took her to the doctor. The doc said that her eardrums were about to burst! The antibiotic was not touching the infection. So, she got a shot Monday. She will get another shot today and again on Friday. We could tell a huge difference Monday night and even more on Tuesday. If the infection has not cleared up by Friday, she will have to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist. Christian and I have decided that we will most likely take her anyway. This is her 6th ear infection in 6 months! Too many in my book for a 9 month old!

First Step!

Ellie took her first step yesterday! We were so excited to see her take it!

9 Months Old

Ellie had her 9 month check up on Friday. She weighed 21 lbs 2 oz (78%) and was 29.75 inches (93%) long. Thankfully, she only had to get one shot this time. Oh, and a double ear infection! Ugh!

Ellie is also getting her top two teeth! Finally! The doctor told us back in November, I believe, that it was a race to see which ones came first: her bottom two or top two! WOW! I never thought it would take 4 months for them to break. It appears that the right one has broke, but the left one has yet to!

Ellie has been in a lot of pain this weekend with her teeth and ear infections. I hope she gets some relief soon! It breaks my heart to see her like she was this weekend!

Sick Little Girl!

Ellie has been a sick little girl the past few days. Ellie and I spent Saturday at mom and dad's. Denise and mom noticed that Ellie's cheeks were really red. When I got her home, I took her temperature. It was 103.4! WOW! She has never had a temperature before. So, I called the doctor, and they told me that we had to take her into the ER. So, we spent about 5 hours in the ER with her. She had to have a catheter, so they could see if she had a UTI. Little girls can get UTI's very easily. Thankfully, the test came back negative. They said she just had a cold that was causing the fever.

Sunday she was fine until about 5. She started running a fever again...102.9. I decided that she should stay home from daycare on Monday. Well, Monday morning she woke up and looked pitiful. Her eyes were swollen. I took her to her doctor and they said she had pink eye, which moved to the other eye later that day, an ear infection and a cold! I felt so bad for her Monday and Tuesday. She would play for about 5 or 10 minutes and then she would just cry!

These pictures look like she just woke up, but she didn't. Her little eyes were swollen from the pink eye! Thankfully, she is better now, but I think she is finally about to get her top 2 teeth! Poor little Ellie has had a rough week!
