Hardwood Floors
Christian and I put hardwood floors in most of the house a few weeks ago. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been. We started about 9 pm on Saturday (he had just gotten home from Houston from seeing his dad). I am glad we did. It was late, but it gave us a feel for what we had gotten ourselves into. We worked till about 1 am on Saturday. We got up Sunday morning and started about 9 am. We worked till about 6. Then we were back up on Monday and finished about 4. It was a lot of hard work, but so worth it in the end.
We are still working on little things like the shoe moulding. We got it nailed down on Monday night. I will work on sealing the holes and painting it the next few nights. We also have the transition strips to lay. The last step is to paint some of the baseboards and then I am painting over the blue! Lots of projects going on in our house.
I was doing the dishes on Monday night and could hear Ellie and Christian playing. Every few minutes I would hear her laughing. Christian called me out to see.....
Ellie was having a blast!! She is not scared of anything! Later that night, she had me do the same thing to her baby doll while she recorded. Too cute!!

Ellie's 3 Year Pics and Family Pics
In May, we had Ellie's 3 year pictures and some family pictures taken. Ellie did incredible. I am more than pleased with the pictures. My brothers wife, Denise has a sister in law (Denise's brothers wife) that is a photographer. Maura is amazing with the camera!!!
Back in 2007, Denise through a surprise 30th birthday party for Richard. Ellie was about 8 months old. Maura took some pics of Ellie, and they are some of my favorite pictures. I still have them on my computer today. I couldn't wait to see these pictures because I knew they would be incredible and of course they were. I have about 50 pictures to choose from. It is going to be a hard decision. Give me about a month and just about all of them will be somewhere in my house!! It will be too hard to choose one over another.
