Pigtails!!

How cute are the pigtails? I just love that she has all of that hair. The pigtails are hard to keep in. Her hair is so thin and fine. I just love this picture!!

On the Go!

Ellie is officially crawling. She has now for a couple of weeks. She took her first move at the beginning of the month. She wasn't quite sure about it. Now, she is crawling all over the place. She loves the marble on the fireplace. It is so cute...she will start to crawl over to the fireplace and Christian or I will call her name. She will stop and look at us and then head for it again. We will call her name again, and she will stop and look at us. She is slowly learning the word "no!"

I just love that smile!!

Ellie is pulling up on everything. I think she thinks she can already walk. She has had several falls already. She was trying to pull up on our guest bedroom bed this weekend. She slipped and hit just above her eye. It did turn into a bruise, but at least she didn't get a black eye!!

Here is Ellie and Braxton holding their own bottle. This has made life a little easier. Braxton is almost 9 months and Ellie is almost 8 months. They are very similar in size!

Sleeping Beauty Awakes...Part 1

Just a side note...I was just talking to some co-workers yesterday telling them how Ellie has yet to try and pull up in her crib.

The story:
Ellie went to bed last night about 6:30 pm. About 10 pm, Ellie starts talking. If we go to check on her after she has gone to bed, we can't let her see us. If she does see us, she starts crying and wants up. So, I go crawling in her room to check on her. As I get to her crib, I look up and see a face staring down at me. I start laughing and go to get Christian. We come back and are trying to look in her room, so he can see her. Finally, we decide to go on and get her up. We find her facing the back of the crib with her feet through the spindles on the crib. She was just a smiling.

Sorry for all of my laughter in the video. It was just too funny! The video is a little dark.

The below video is of Ellie laughing. Sorry that it sideways, but I can't figure out how to flip it around. Christian was wiping her hands and face off after dinner one night. For some reason, she thought it was funny! Of course, she laughed more before I got the camera to record it. She normally cries when we wipe her mouth! Who knows!

The video below that is of her talking to the dogs. Any time the dogs are around her, she starts "talking" to them. I wish we knew what she was thinking!

Merry Christmas!!

I am a little late on posting. We had a wonderful Christmas with Ellie. She was a trooper all weekend. On Saturday, we spent the day with Christian's family! She was able to see her Great-Grandma and meet her Great Uncle, Aunt and Cousins! On Sunday, we went to see Jim Gaines preach (he married Christian and I...and is like a second dad to me). On Monday, we got up early and opened presents and then we to my mom and dads that afternoon! Ellie received a ton of toys and clothes! Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning!

Ellie loved ripping the paper off! Mom accidentally mismarked the presents, so Ellie unwrapped her presents and Cousin Braxton's presents too! Oops!!
