Picnic table
We had wanted to get Ellie a play set for Christmas, but we knew it would be cold and she would want us out there with her. Christian had the great idea to switch around her gifts. We were originally planning to give her the kitchen for her birthday. I am so glad we waited to give her the swing set. The weather has been so nice. She loves it. She always wants to go out and swing. I thought she would want to do the slide more than swing, but no she is a swinging fool!
We bought the swing set on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. It was a cloudy day. We started about 1 and stopped about 10 pm Sunday night. We had 3 things to do on Monday morning to finish it. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be to put it together. I was labeled the Forman of the job. I would get everything together and hand the wood and screws off to the boys. While the assembled one step, I would be getting the items for the next step together. We really had a good system down. It would sprinkle every once in a while. It was nice because it would cool us off while we were working.
